Privacy notice

Who we are

Beers Plumbing and Heating Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. Our registered office is 22 Coronation Road, Bleadon, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 0PG. Our company registration number is 13212302. You can contact us at chris@bpandh.co.uk or 07577 30 80 10.

What we collect and why

When you send us an enquiry through the form on this website, we collect the information you provide: your name, your phone number or email address, your postcode, the type of work you need help with, and your description of the job. You can also choose to add up to three photographs. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, discuss the work and, if you go ahead, carry it out. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Photographs

Photos you add to the enquiry form are uploaded to private storage before the enquiry is submitted. They are used to understand the work you have described and are not published on the website or used for marketing. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC/HEIF, up to 10MB each, with a maximum of 3 photos per enquiry.

How we store and share it

Enquiry details are saved in our website’s database, then an email notification is attempted to chris@bpandh.co.uk. A notification failure does not delete your saved enquiry; authorised administrators can access the record and retry that notification individually. Notifications accepted for sending are not proof of inbox delivery. The notification includes all enquiry fields and, when photos are attached, private photo links that expire after seven days. Anyone with one of these links can view that photo until the link expires, so links must not be forwarded to unauthorised people. The stored photos are not public.

Chris and authorised people handling enquiries for the business can access the notifications. Lovable Cloud and the email delivery and mailbox providers process the information to store it and deliver the notification; authorised service administrators may also have access where needed to maintain the service. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. Our website uses a map centred on Weston-super-Mare; when it loads, Google Maps (or OpenStreetMap when used as a fallback) receives connection information such as your IP address. Google may set its own cookies. No marketing or advertising tools have been added to the website.

How long we keep it

Our retention policy is 1 year from the last contact for enquiries that do not lead to work, including their photographs and email copies, and 5 years after completion for job records and photographs, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention. Deletion must be carried out manually across the website records, photo storage and mailbox; no automatic deletion schedule is implemented. Expiry of a seven-day photo link does not delete the underlying photo.

Abandoned or unsubmitted photo uploads are separate from completed-job records. Our policy is to delete these unused uploads after 7 days from upload. Cleanup must be carried out manually by authorised administrators, after checking that an upload is not linked to a saved enquiry. No automatic cleanup currently runs; files remain in private storage until that manual deletion is completed. You can contact us to request deletion, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us at chris@bpandh.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this notice. This version was last updated in October 2026.
